Dance Arts has two age-appropriate levels of dance curriculum.
Fundamentals of Dance
For children age 20 months-6 years old
Baby Ballet Just Movin' We're Dancin' Ballet or Jazz
20 - 36 months 3 - 4 years 4 - 5 years 4.5 - 6 years
Dance Technique
For age groups 7-10, 11-up and 13-up
Ballet/Pointe
Jazz
Hip Hop
Tap
For children age 20 months-6 years old

Baby Ballet - Age 20-36 months
Class Description
- A class for parent (or caregiver) and child where the parent is a participant in the class exercises.
- Siblings, relatives, and friends must reserve observation in the classroom for guest days only.
- Development of gross motor skills.
- Develop enhanced sensory awareness, cognition and consciousness.
- Class meets once weekly.
- 45 minutes in length.
- Enrollment in the School Term is for 24 classes taught September through April
- Classes are taught in 4 blocks of 6 lessons.
- The Baby Ballet program currently is in the physical process of design. There is a week off between blocks for curriculum revisions.
- As students approach age 3 years they may be transferred into Just Movin'.
- To discontinue classes, a formal withdrawal through the studio office is required.
- Female - leotard, pink footless tights (May be ordered through Dance Arts)
- Male - black gym shorts or black sweat pants, white t-shirt, white socks
- Parent or caregiver - exercise wear or sweat suit
- Female - pink ballet shoes
- Male - black ballet shoes
- Parent or caregiver - tennis shoes (no crocks or flip flops)

Just Movin' - Age 3-4 years
Class Description
- A class where students work in the classroom without the parent.
- The creative movement process is a strong component.
- Experience the elements of time, space and energy
- Explore simple ballet movement and terminology
- Develop strength and flexibility through simple tumbling skills
- Class meets once weekly.
- 45 minutes in length.
- Enrollment in the School Term is for 31 classes taught September through April
- To discontinue classes, a formal withdrawal through the studio office is required.
- Female - leotard, pink convertible tights (May be ordered through Dance Arts)
- Male - black gym shorts or black sweat pants, white t-shirt, white socks
- Female - pink ballet shoes

We're Dancin' - Age 4-5 years
Class Description
- A class where students work in the classroom without the parent.
- Basic movements in both ballet and tap are taught.
- Creative movement process is a strong component.
- It is recommended that young 4 y.o.'s first experience Just Movin'.
- Progression is a consideration within the term.
- Learn basic ballet movement and terminology
- Develop musicality by sounding out rhythms in tap dance.
- Class meets once weekly.
- 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.
- Enrollment in the School Term is for 31 classes taught September through April
- To discontinue classes, a formal withdrawal through the studio office is required.

Ballet or Jazz - Age 4.5-6 years
Class Description
- A class in which the structure of a traditional dance technique class is introduced.
- Elements of modern dance are utilized for development of the creative process.
- It is recommended that young 4.5 y.o.'s first experience We're Dancin'.
- Progression within the term is a consideration.
- Class meets once weekly.
- 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.
- Enrollment in the School Term is for 31 classes taught September through April
- To discontinue classes, a formal withdrawal through the studio office is required.

Ballet/Pointe
Class Description
- Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance.
- Develop poise and artistic presentation.
- Emphasis on technique, terminology, correct body placement and alignment.
Course Outline
- Class meets once weekly.
- 1-1.5 hours in length determined by level of training.
- Enrollment in the School Term is for 31 classes taught September through April

- Although Hip Hop is a culture dance form, it has recently become a theatrical dance style with it's own vocabulary.
